Kaakadosha (ಕಾಕದೋಷ)

Kaakadosha is set in a traditional family in a city like Bangalore and revolves around the widow Sharada, her son Akshay in Mumbai, and mother-in-law Seethamma. When Akshay returns home accused of a heinous crime, Sharada faces impossible choices. Drawing inspiration from Henrik Ibsen's 'Ghosts', playwright Anupama Chandrasekhar based the play on a true incident from 2012. Translated and directed in Kannada by Venkatesh Prasad. The English original premiered at Kiln Theatre, London in October 2019.
